Truckee is a small town nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains with a charming vibe, excellent recreational opportunities, booming tourism industry, and a rich western heritage. The town originated as a stop on the railroad and got its name from the Native American term "tro-kay" meaning "everything is alright." The town is now home to approximately 16,000 residents who were drawn by the splendors of the area.
Be sure to schedule your visit during the last weekend of August, so you can attend the Truckee Rodeo!
