Poster Coloring Contest:
To include our youngest fans, the rodeo will be sponsoring a poster coloring contest through our two elementary schools here in Truckee. Children K-5 will have the opportunity to submit original posters the winning poster will be published as the Rodeo Poster of the 2011 Truckee Championship Pro Rodeo. All pictures will be displayed at the 2010 rodeo.

Window Decorating:
Merchants of Truckee are invited to decorate their shop windows with a Western theme. The winner of the decorating contest will be given an award for their place of business and will also be awarded with a perpetual trophy, engraved with the business name, which will be rotated each year to the winning business.

Mutton Bustin':
Mutton Bustin will take place on Saturday and Sunday during the rodeo performance. Boys and Girls between the ages of 4 to 8 and weighing
50pounds or less are invited to ride for distance.
Each child will receive a Mutton Bustin' T-Shirt and an admission ticket for one parent or guardian. A trophy will be presented to the winner each day. Come test your skills!
Parents: if your child has a helmet it is advisable to bring it with you!
Entry fees are $35 per contestant per day, or $70 for both days.
Entries will be accepted through July 20th only or until both days are filled.Application

Best Dressed Clown:
Our Middle School students are once again invited to take part in trying their hand to become our 2010 Mutton Bustin' Fighter. The student with the best Rodeo Clown costume will become our "Mutton Fighter" during the Mutton Bustin' event at the Rodeo. He or she will be joining our Professional Rodeo Bull Fighter to help protect our young Mutton Busters! Good luck to all our kids! Application
