Rodeo Week 2017
All events will be held at McIver Arena,

Sunday, August 20th: Queen Pageant, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
During the pageant, each Miss Truckee Pro Rodeo and Junior Miss Truckee Pro Rodeo contestant will complete a horsemanship pattern, a personal interview, a speech, modeling, and an impromptu question session. All are invited to attend the pageant, no cost to watch. The horsemanship portion of the pageant will be held at McIver Arena in the morning, then the afternoon portion of the pageant will occur at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Truckee.

Friday, August 25th: Kid's Day at the Rodeo, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon of fun and FREE rodeo themed activities! Kids can learn to rope, run stick   horse races, have a chance to brush a horse, learn about rodeo from our rodeo queens, watch a performance by the Truckee Donner Junior Horsemen Drill Team, and enjoy a free barbecue lunch courtesy of the Truckee Donner Junior Horsemen Association. Friday, August 25th: BBQ Dinner, Calf Dressing & Open Barrel Race 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Join us for a mouth watering BBQ Dinner catered by Men Wielding Fire, Live Music, Calf Dressing, and Open 4D Barrel Race! Our local sponsors are given complimentary teams in calf dressing, so it's sure to be entertaining! Sponsors, remember to RSVP your calf dressing teams by Thursday, August 24th and be sure to check in on the 25th no later than 5:30 pm  to participate. Following the Calf Dressing we will have an Open 4D Barrel Race. Open 4D Barrel Race Details: $20 entry fee (DROPPED from $50!), $5 office fee, $5 arena fee, 75/25 payout, $100 added if we get 50 entries or more! Saturday, August 26th: Rodeo Performance, 5:00 - 7:30 p.m., gates open at 3:00 p.m.
In addition to the traditional CCPRA rodeo events, we will also have mutton bustin', a boot race for the kids, and a performance by a world renowned trick roper (details on our specialty act below)! You won't want to miss out on the fun! Tickets available here. The Truckee Donner Junior Horsemen Drill Team will perform at 4:45 p.m. (15 minutes prior to the start of the rodeo). Saturday is Patriot Day at the Truckee Pro Rodeo! Wear your red, white, and blue! Stick around for the Western Dance after the rodeo (live music & dancing)! Details on the Dance below. We ask that you please refrain from bringing food and beverages into the rodeo venue, libations and food will be available for purchase. Bags may be searched at entrance gates. Please keep in mind, at-the-gate ticket sales and bar sales are CASH ONLY!

Saturday, August 26th: Western Dance, immediately following the rodeo 
Come dance in the dirt and have a boot-scootin' good time! Live local band: Everyday Outlaw. We may even have a line dancing instructor there to help you brush up on your dancin' skills. Rodeo bars will stay open and local food vendors will stick around with their mouthwatering fare. Proceeds from the dance benefit the Truckee Donner Junior Horsemen Association. 

Sunday, August 27th: Rodeo Performance, 1:00 - 3:30 p.m., gates open at 11:00 a.m.
This will be our second rodeo performance, it will also feature muton bustin', a boot race for the kids, and a performance by a world renowned trick roper (details on our specialty act below)! It is sure to be just as fun! Tickets available here. Sunday is Tough Enough to Wear Pink Day at the Truckee Pro Rodeo! Wear pink to show your support for breast cancer awareness. The Truckee Donner Junior Horsemen Drill Team will perform at 12:45 p.m. (15 minutes prior to the start of the rodeo).We ask that you please refrain from bringing food and beverages into the rodeo venue, we will have libations and food available for purchase. Bags may be searched at entrance gates. Please keep in mind, at-the-gate ticket sales and bar sales are CASH ONLY!

We're also looking for volunteers during the rodeo, please contact us if you're interested. If you volunteer one day, you get a free ticket for the other day!
